IE 8 Event Insanity

Our mouse gestures work properly in every browser… except IE 8. (No surprise there.) We still can’t prevent line drawing from triggering unwanted default behaviors in IE 8. We gnash our teeth and come up with some truly wacky ideas, but eventually we find a clean and elegant solution.
